Babies grow up so fast, what do you do with those stuffs that you no longer need?

My husband and I bless them out. :)

When we had our little girl, we receive a lot of blessings from relatives. In kind and in wishes.
Hand-me-downs, secondhand clothes, booties, mittens, play mat, toys, bouncer and even diapers and baby bathing stuffs. We had so many items that we gave some to our other relatives.

Some items were not suitable for my girl like clothes.. when she was out, almost all the newborn clothes she already cannot wear. -.- Then there are diapers of other brands and extra bouncer and even boy clothes. hahas. So I thought maybe we shouldn't assume what others need, so I started looking for places to bless the things we don't need that others might have a need for.

I found that there are facebook pages created just for this and there are many needy mummies (single parent) or just out of job or recently pregnant but not ready financially, or family with many kids..

We blessed out foam mats (when my baby keep taking the alphabets to bite), bouncers (baby too active and flipped forward so cannot use it anymore), baby carrier (baby cannot fit liao), disposable breast pads & breastfeeding tea packets (when I stopped bfeeding recently), almost 2packs of L size diapers (Cause my baby wear size XL liao.).

My experienced from blessing these things out was that some of those who asked for them are not really needy as them claimed, and some of them were really fussy like, asking me to meet them at mrt or even send courier?? Some just MIA-ed even though I already state location on post, and we confirmed timing for them to collect.. There was 1 who collected the foam mats from me but is actually from a company that rent out toys. -.- (This one is because I didn't ask properly lur..)

Today I just found out about Sanctuary House. They are a Volunteer Welfare Organisation, providing crisis pregnancy services and emergency foster care for abandoned, abused and neglected infants and children. They offer a stable shelter and care for babies and infants from 0 to 3 years who require respite or short-term care. You can support the children with gifts of used clothes, toys and other durables.

I also found other addresses for donation in-kind for Salvation Army. They even have collection service for bulky items for a contribution of S$60. If you're moving house and want to change furniture, why not donate the furniture that can still be used? Sometimes I see mint condition furniture like sofa and bedframes at the garbage collection point and feel so wasted.. Some needy family doesn't even have a proper mattress at home. :(

Some mummy items I will still bless out via facebook pages.
Baby stuffs like clothes and toys I can pack and bless them at Tradehub21.
Other items can drop off at Salvation Army box (Not sure if Jurong IMM still have the box anot.).
Big bulky items like sofa (if I intend to change) can be donated to salvation army.

hahas. I'm writing this post with hopes that I can remember where to bring the stuffs to.. :D

Because I am a bad mummy. :P

Recently took a lot of photos of her crying cause sometimes she decide to cry just to get my attention.
Told you she is a drama baby already!!!
Wonder who she took the drama genes from.. :P

Okay, except the one above with her wearing headband. I did that once only and she didn't like it..
But she's mad cute in those headband right? :D

No I don't give in to her all the time.
Most of the time she stops when she realize that I wouldn't fall for her trick..

Seriously, have you seen such a cute CRYING baby? :P

Obviously I find her crying to be funny that I took so many shots of her. :P

And she stops to see what her mother is doing.. hahahas.

And promptly decide to continue to cry..

Okay, last photo before I carry her. :P

In case you think I'm a bad mama who only take photos of her crying baby..
Here's 2 photos of us when we have fun posting for photos..

My new sports shoe. :D

My old dadas worn out a long time ago...
So I bought another pair of shoes! :D

Bought from Qoo10 at about S$67.90 after discount.

Cutting is a little small, so do get 1-2 size bigger for better fit. :)
I really like the colour. Makes me happy just looking at them. hahas.

Awesome September

September is another awesome month! :D

First I had an awesome flea market clearance where most of my customers came down to show their support.

Then I found an awesome "no hard-selling" place for facial. Phew.. Like finally! :P

Next, I found out that my skinfood review got me a prize!

And then when I decide I should join a race to get my running mode on, I got priority to join NIKE WE RUN SG 2013. The previous time I join this race the slots were sold out the next day! Super lots of people join.. so to get a slot before more people jam the system, is really appreciated. :D

and in this awesome month, I have started my first gym session and collected my membership card too! :D Tone up, tone up.. lose fats, lose fats.

Save the best news for the last...

Just yesterday, I got to watch a concert movie and even got free popcorn and ben & jerry's icecream! This is really awesome to me because I actually had plans to catch this concert movie! so to get a pair of complementary tickets is like super mega awesome! :D

Here I want to thank omy.sg & golden village for the pleasant gift. The concert movie is really good.. I actually teared up a couple of times because I felt really touched.. You can't see in the photos but my eyes were actually still wet when we snap these photos in the cinema. :p

It's October in about 25mins.. Let October be filled with awesome-ness too~
Rock on~

NIKE WE RUN SG 2013 is here!

By the time you read this entry, I would have done another crazy thing. :P

I would have signed up for NIKE WE RUN SG 2013.

Registration starts 28th September 2013 at around 10am if I'm not wrong. :)

2 years ago I participated in this event alone. This year I am doing it alone again. Best thing is.. I haven't run since 2 years ago~.

My goals will still be the same as 2 years ago:

Goal 1: Go for the Run.
Goal 2: Complete the Run (10km).
Goal 3: Complete the Run in 1hr 30mins or less.

It's going to be a challenge, but I do plan to do at least 2-3 trial runs within this 1 month. :D

Are you going for the run too? :)
If you plan to sign up please do so as early as you can.. cause slots are limited and get snapped up very quickly! :)

Concert Movies are awesome for people like me!

My first 3D Concert Movie is a Concert-Drama Movie by Mayday.
Watched 3DNA with my sis and it was a few years ago.. I think in 2011? :D
I still remember it was at Yishun GV when it was just renovated..

The experience is really awesome and I still kept the GV light stick even though it's no longer working.

Random selfie with the above mentioned light stick.

Concert Movies are awesome for people like me!

1. No massive crowd
As much as I like the atmosphere for concerts, I really don't like crowds. (Which is why you seldom see me at countdown events/party). I also detest queuing for toilets and very often the toilet is dirty by the time it's your turn too. :(

2. Subtitles
Ever been to concerts and you don't understand a certain joke because you can't hear/see clearly? Or you like a artist's music/songs but you can't really understand the artist's native tongue well? With subtitles you no longer have to bother your friend during concerts anymore!

3. Value for money
Cheaper than a concert ticket. Not everyone have the money to watch concerts. Actual concert tickets easily costs a few hundred dollars! Concert movie tickets are more than 50% off the cheapest concert ticket price!

4. Awesome view
Sometimes even when you camp online to buy the best tickets, it gets sold out within mins of launch or the tickets you can afford are really far away that you thought you should have brought along a binoculars to watch the concert? No such problem for concert movie.

5. Transport
No need to travel very far for concert movie. :D No need to call cab or walk a long way out just to get a cab when the concert ends too late! which brings up the next point..

6. Timing
Ever been to concerts that end so late that you can't get proper transport back home? Or felt really hungry after the concert but most shops are already closed? No such problem if you choose to watch concert movie. :D
