Kids Fiesta at Hillion Mall

Last Sunday we travelled to the new mall at Bukit Panjang to check out the on-going kid's carnival! The kids had fun so here's a quick post about the event!

The carnival is until this Sunday (19th March 2017) , so even if you missed it last weekend, you can still make your way there this week! More information about the event here: Smartparent and Hillion Mall.

With a minimum spending of $20 at the mall, redeem a stamp on your receipt (from the counter next to the stage at B2 Atrium) and you child can participate in the following activities:

• Art and Craft 45mins (non parents accompanied)
• Sport circuit and Sports skill station 10 mins
• Kinetic Sand Play 10mins
• Bouncy Castle

Other than activities, the event organisers gave some freebies too!
1x Free indoor playground voucher
1x Free voucher for trial class with readysteadygokids
1x Pass for "meet and greet" and to exchange a free toy (McDonald's Line toy)
1x Tote bag (hillion mall)

Here are my anyhow-taken photos of the event!
(Baby A kept moving so I had a hard time trying to take photos!)

Kinetic Sand Play 10mins
Photo taken before event started but I can assure you this is one of the hot favourite among the kids! Table is crowded since the start of the event!

Sport circuit and Sports skill station 10 mins
Photo taken before event started, set up for play changed after a few hours too, they limit the kids inside the play area so it's not that crowded.
It's fun for the kids, good for gross motor skill and most importantly tire the kiddos out for us! :P

Art and Craft approximate 45mins (non parents accompanied)
As it's a group lesson so you need to "book" a timeslot by leaving your name and contact number. Each session is open to only 8 kids, so if the tables are full, you would need to go for the next session. The good thing is it's a non parents accompanied session, so I practically just left my kiddo there and went to get other things done.. like redeeming tote bag, buying fruits and drink, checking out what other stations have to offer, redeeming pass for the meet and greet after the show etc..

Live Show by The Polliwogs
Live show is available on weekends at 1.30pm and 5pm.
Show last for about 20-25mins, thereafter they have a photograph session for 30 kids with the "meet and greet" pass. "Meet and Greet" pass can be obtained 1hr before show starts. Eg 12.30pm can start redeeming for 1.30pm show.

This is the pass and tote bag that I redeemed while my kid did her craft at the Art and Craft Station. :)
Pass can be redeemed next to the stage at B2 Atrium, Tote bag can be redeemed at Seoul Street located at Level 1.

Free class voucher given to us by the staffs at the sports station. Unfortunately the location of the schools is really far away from our place so we would most probably be unable to utilise the free class voucher.

Right after the photo taking session, we exchange our "meet and greet" pass for a free toy sponsored by McDonalds.

This is not a sponsored post, I spent $20 buying food at the mall and felt the event is quite worth it so sharing the details here. Hope you enjoyed this post! :)

New Stalls/Shops at Jurong Point.

Remember sometime back I blogged about Malaysia Boleh! at Jurong Point (Singapore)?

Ok the post is almost 1 year ago.. but guess what?
2 of the restaurants I mentioned in the blog post has opened their outlets/stalls at Jurong Point!

Popeye at JP2 (Level 2/3).
Opened sometime in June and till now (almost 2 months) there's still a long queue outside their outlet everytime we pass by..
Got hubby to queue for takeaway the other day.. :P
Now I no longer have to travel too far just to have Popeye!

Yoshinoya in JP1 Kopitiam (Level 3).
Hubby says there used to be 1 Yoshinoya outlet in JP years back but I don't remember seeing it..
They have recently open a new stall at level 3 Kopitiam food court!
I've been craving for it since I spotted it when we were checking out another stall. :)
Will be getting hubby to pack it back for me again.

Play-kitchen in JP1 Kopitiam (Level 3)
This stall is opened by Ben Yeo, Local actor/host/author.
Their menu includes Hei-Bee Clams in Asian Flavours, Smoked duck breast with fresh veg in Thai sauce, Suckling Chicken Steak with Aglio Olio Spaghetti and Sambal Belachan Grill fish with Aglio Olio Spaghetti. I am quite excited about the hei-bee Clams and Sambal Belachan grill fish. Can't wait to try out when I'm free to have my meal at the foodcourt. Don't really like to eat packed pasta.

Liquid Skin next to JP1 Kopitiam (Level 3).
This shop space used to be for a massage place. It's kinda dark from the outside and I've never step in. Last week while walking around JP, I saw a poster for Eyebrow Threading and I immediately walk-in!
They were having promo and I had my eyebrows and upper-lip area threaded for only S$9.60 (including gst)! Finally a place there's nearby for some threading! No more excuse for messy brows!!!

Having a set of neat eyebrows can really change how a person look!
Comparison of different ways to neaten your brows.
Eyebrow threading (Before and After)

That's all for the new stalls/shops update.

Just realise this post is super wordy so I decide to add a cute photo of Winnie and me. :D

The irritating thing about dark hair colouring?
They don't usually show until the roots grows out. -.-
Before the roots comes out, the colours don't stand out at all.. now it's like such an eye sore.. argh!

What colours should I try for next year's CNY? 6 months to CNY (31st January 2014) and I'm thinking of colours for my hair! I'm also contemplating if I should do bangs for my hair again.. How? :P

4th July is a super awesome day! :D

It's so awesome I just have to blog about it. :P

First! Winnie has started learning how to use her vocals.
Her first words? baba. :D

You can watch videos of her saying baba on instagram or facebook but since I'm in super good mood.. I'll upload the videos here. :)

Hubby and I wants to give credit to this "Minion singing Banana Song" video for teaching her how to say baba.. :P

Second awesome thing.
I finally met up with some friends for dinner, coffee (chocolate drink), chit chat, catch up.
Lovely night out with the girls. :)

Seems like Thursday is Friends night for me cause last Thursday (27th) I met up with my sha mei for dinner. :D

Dinner was at Hot Tomato at The Star Vista. Steak and pawns were okay but pasta is a little overcooked. For a $20 meal, it's quite okay I guess. It comes with a soup, a drink and a small piece of garlic bread. The mall is a lovely place, we went to a open area that's quite "lomantic". No photos cause lightening is not really suitable for photos. hahas.

Since my friends are shy people I shall post this blur photo of us. :P

Pardon my tied up aunty hair. :P

Third awesome thing. I know the above picture doesn't says it but I'm officially confirm chop under my pre-pregnancy weight. Now ranging from 47-49. :D

Can't wait to do proper exercise and drop to a healthier weight. For my height/frame I'm aiming for 40-42kg. I've tried to lose weight before pregnancy and it just didn't work with me eating and sitting around all the time. In fact during cny last year in 2012, I was a whooping 51.5kg. So to lose all pregnancy weight and drop to 47 while still eating normally, it's quite a pleasant surprise to me. :)

My secret? Breastfeeding (technically pumping milk into bottles to feed my baby cause she refuse to nurse..) and eating more clean food like boiled broccoli, homemade soup without any salt, generally more veg in my meals. I'm more careful with what I eat now cause I don't want my baby to have too much junk food in her system and also don't want her to have constipation. :P

I still have my fried chickens, potato chips, ice cream and all the unhealthy food, just not on a daily basis now. :) Imagine I used to have junk food almost every other day because I'm super lazy to cook. There was a period I almost had instant noodle everyday!! Now I have them like once to twice a month. :)

ok. accidentally turn into a long rambling..Back to 4th of July..

Our drinks while Winnie have her dinner. :D I believe it's call Dr Cafe Coffee.
They have cute wooden baby chairs which I really liked cause no sharp edge unlike those plastic chairs in many other eating place. :)

Fourth awesome thing on this 4th of July is this!

Yes, I've received my 3rd Nuffnang Cheque!

Being a SAHM (Stay-At-Home-Mother), I'm practically broke all the time.
This cheque is practically god-send! Thanks Nuffnang!

This cheque has made me more motivated to blog more!
Will update with more blog post as soon as I can! :D
