After months of moving in we finally got ..

A DVD player!

The reason why we finally got it.. it's because...
I want to watch this!

The Mentalist Season 1 to 3. :D

So I suddenly felt like a mountain tortoise (ignorant) because you know there's always an extra remote control when you buy a dvd player right? I found out that my dvd player's remote can control my TV too! :P

 So you see the smaller controller is for the DVD player and there's this White Box at the top right corner.. Those 4 buttons controls the TV! So I only need to use the DVD controller most of the time!

Feel kinda outdated already.

The last time I used a player, it was some lousy brand VCD player that we use to play Tom and Jerry cartoon for my brothers. heh.

Before the lousy VCD player, it was those tape recorder thingy I think it's called VHS or something? Still remember putting in tapes to record movies I like and kept re-watching them until the tape spoil and finally the machine spoil too. :P Think that's like year 2000 or something. 12 years have past and now the DVD player is only about a third of the size of the old tape player?

If only I could get my hands on those tapes again... Those precious movies. precious memories.. all thrown away already. :( oh wells.. At least now I've got my Mentalist DVDs to watch. :D

Why doesn't ebay allow sellers to leave buyers negative feedback? & Singapore's Speedpost don't do postal above 2kg?

So a "customer" asked for free registered post and we decide to make it a special deal and agree to post some collapsible boxes (free registered post) to the "buyer". However due to the post office saying they don't do registered or speedpost for 2+kg?? We decide to be nice and deliver the items. Even though it's raining we decide to take a cab down because we don't want to disappoint our customers.

Seeing since we delivered by hand, he asked to check the items. Being nice and all we decide to let him check and guess what? He says the item is not what he wants and wants a full refund. He either doesn't understand the word collapsible or he's taking us as idiots.

Gave him a full refund and wasted $26 cabbing to and fro on a rainy night.
Worse is ebay doesn't allow us to leave a negative feedback to warn all other sellers to be careful when dealing with customers like these.

Another thing is I don't get why the Singpost staff says speedpost doesn't deliver a parcel that's about 2+kg? I thought they do delivery of up to like 20-30kg? Oh well.. Guess today's a really really weird day for me. :(

My First Neon Orange Nail Polish

Received China Glaze's Neon Orange nail polish in my Bella Box for August and decide to test it out with Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails as base (which I received in my May Bella Box). Maybe orange's just not for me, the colour's a little too bright for my liking. :(

Comparing SH's Hard as Nails to the normal base coat I use, I still prefer my normal base coat. Don't really see the "hardener" effect. My nails still felt like it's going to break all the time. :(

Comparing China Glaze Neon colour to my other China Glaze colour, it seems that Neon's a tiny bit thicker, would prefer pastel colours or glittery ones. :D

Used OPI Silver Shatter on top of the Neon Orange and it instantly makes it less "刺眼" imo, should have tried black shatter though. :p

Unwanted present from my neighbor

Some background info: Defector and I stays on the 13th level of our block, there's 3 more level on top. One of our neighbors on the higher floors like to smoke at the living room window and many times the ash will fall and follows the wind into our house though our window. Which is the reason why our living room and bedrooms windows are 95% closed. Just last week we found another risk..

We received a surprise gift from our neighbor at around 11pm in our kitchen.
We've kept our kitchen windows 80% closed now, hoping we will not receive a bigger gift..

Now, anyone know who can I contact to return a gift?

3 Movies in August. :D

I haven't been blogging properly for a long while.. :p
Feels so bad for neglecting my blog.

Yes, my tummy is growing and not due to over-eating okay!!

 

I'm mostly at home now due to feeling faint, tummyaches, bodyaches, and what's nots.

On the rare occasions that I have to be away from the comfort of my home, I've to squeeze with loads of people and avoid being knocked every other min. :(

Honestly, no one truly knows how it feels to be pregnant until you've experience it yourself! Of cause so far it's not just avoiding knocks, I do often get people giving up their seats to me and it really warms my heart whenever I'm being offered a seat. Makes me feel there are still nice and considerate people around after all. :)

Bah. I've went out of topic again. :D

So the title is 3 Movies in August.

So for the past many months, Defector and I didn't have much time for movies. Busy moving room, moving house, customary wedding, wedding dinner, in-out of hospital, celebrations, courses, blah blah blah...

This month we finally found time and good movies to watch! :D

First Movie: Magic Mike

This is for the ladies! Lots of eye candy! Heh.

Went in to see Matt Bomer (White Collar) and found Channing Tatum quite cute too. heh.

Not for the shy though. Blushed red from the start. :p

Second Movie: The Bourne Legacy

For the action! I've watched all 3 Bourne movies, of cause I have to watch this one too! With or without Matt Damon. :P Though some say it's a little draggy but I think it's just alright. Watch all 4 together and you should get the full story..

Third Movie: The Expendables 2

For the Cast! All the action stars in this one is worth the ticket. hahas. Brings back memories of those shows you watch when you're young.. If you're looking for a story with a really good and mind engaging plot, I wouldn't suggest this though. This is really another movie you just go in, seat back to enjoy all the action and explosion..
