Why should we settle for less? MacDonalds

Remember not too long ago I blogged about the "ba-gua" thin beef patties in MacDonald's Big Mac? This time we were at queensway's MacDonalds and hubby tried their Fillet-o-fish..

Hubby thought it looked weird with the small piece of cheese sticking out.

He open up and said. OMG what happen to the "size of the" cheese?

I think it's like half??? -.-''

If I'm not wrong, in order to cut cost for the special lunch time promotion, MacDonalds reduce whatever product that they can reduce. But problem is, I didn't purchase my food during the special promotion time why should I pay the "full amount" and get lesser food then normal???

Anyway I wrote a feedback to them, really interested to know why my food getting smaller and lesser. -.-'' And they have yet to reply me. -.-

Broken

Totally no confidence cause no matter how I tried to study also nothing much go into my brain. argh. Don't like it. :(

Finally took out my eyelash extenstions yesterday and now they feel so much shorter. Almost non-existence :(

Reach there about 1 hour earlier than stated appointment time and decide to do express mani & pedi since promotion price at $18. Poor hubby waited more than a hour for me loh.

I prefer classic mani & pedi more, cause it makes me feel more pampered + I like it when they take out those dead skin stuffs.. But classic more expensive lah. During my birthday then do the classic one. Got 50% off. :p

Super late Christmas Presents!!

Daddy Phua pass my sis this schedule book for Christmas.
My Sis just past it to me on Valentine's day! lol.

Kinda double date on Vday.

She kept forgetting to bring out whenever we meet. lol.

I know some people thinks that there's no reason for me to get so many samples and then out of these, some of them don't suit my skin or whatever. They think it's a waste of time and money (small shipping and handling fee). But whenever I try a product and it doesn't work well, I actually feel sightly relive. Imagine if I bought the actual retail size product then find out that it doesn't really suits me, wouldn't that be a real waste of money and time?

Title: Bioessence Tanaka White Perfecting Lotion SPF15
Rated: 3/5
Like: Different, doesn't stink or sting.
Dislike: Not sure what it does.
Main Review: This lotion is quite different from what I had expected, in a good way. I was expecting more like a liquidy tonner-like water thingy. When I first squeeze some out onto my cotton pad, I was surprised that it looks white and creamy. I'm not a cream person you see, so it kinda put me off. When I drab some all over my face, it didn't have the creamy feeling. It's actually more lotion-y rather than creamy but I guess I seldom use lotions so don't know that it's actually lotion when I see it's white in colour. :p The smell is acceptable and it didn't stink my skin. I like how it feels on my skin. I put this on before using the Night cream, feeling's not too bad. I quite like it actually. :p But I don't really see much whitening effect unless you count putting too much white liquid stuffs on my face as "whitening". -.-
Will I Buy It: Maybe

Title: Bioessence Tanaka White Renewal Night Cream
Rated: 3/5
Like: No strong smell & breakouts
Dislike: Not a big fan of creams. :p
Main Review: Yes, I'm not a big fan of creams cause I hate the oily-oily feeling that most creams gives me. This night cream is not too bad when it's being used moderatly. No strong smell and it didn't caused me breakouts which I'm rather relived. Used it with the Tanaka Lotion. Didn't really see much whitening effect but my face did felt mosturised when I wake up. :)
Will I Buy It: Maybe

Title: Fennel Handy Pack
Rated: 4/5
Like: Not more bad smell..
Dislike: -
Main Review: I've never seen this brand before. Maybe cause I'm too used to buying the same few brands so seldom look at the shelfs carefully. :p This is the first pad that I came across that has an expiry date on the packaging.. Maybe the others also have expiry dates but I've never really notice. hahas. I guess it's because of the materials used to make the pad or something so got expiry date.. Once you open the packaging you'll smell something and I think it's this smell that helps to take away the bad smell. I like that it's cotton-y soft and it didn't gave me any itch. :) Not bad, but I'm not sure if it's expensive though.
Will I Buy It: Maybe

Title: Laurier F Day napkin 22.5cm
Rated: 4/5
Like: Comfy and thin.
Dislike: Too thin.
Main Review: I know my dislike and like crashed again. Okay I like the pad thin cause it's easy to keep and bring around and it feels barely there. But this barely there feeling does makes me worry that it'll leak. I know there's another size for night use but I'm the kind who would just grab and use so whenever I use the day one at night I'll feel a bit uneasy. but it's really comfy really. :)
Will I Buy It: Yes

14th Pack of Free Samples review

This is a super overdue sample pack.
Requested and got this pack sometime in late November and I didn't really have the time to sample everything until yesterday when I tried the sunblock. :)

Title: BIO ESSENCE Face Lifting Cream
Rated: 3/5
Like: Smell is acceptable and so far no breakouts
Dislike: Stingy feeling
Main Review: Doesn't see the effect that some people are raving about. Maybe I'm fated to have fat face. Anyway those who have read some of my past reviews would know that I don't really like creams but this cream is not too "rich" so it didn't cause any breakout. :) I dislike the stingy feeling so it's a good thing that it didn't take long for it to go away. Price wise, I'm not too sure how much it cost, but if it's over $30 I don't think I would purchase it. :p
Will I Buy It: Maybe

Title: Kelly Water Set
Rated: 1/5
Like: Nothing as of now.
Dislike: Smell, expensive and sticky feeling.
Main Review: When I first recieve the pack I was suprised to find that the product card mainly has Korean words on it. The only words that I know were the English names of the product "Moisturizing Water Cream" and "Water Balance Essenserum?". The names on the sachet were "Water Balance Essenserum" and "Moisturizing Innovation", so I guess the latter should be "Moisturizing Water Cream". Tried the essenserum first and I was instantly put off by the smell. I'm not sure if it's Jasmine flower or something but it's quite strong and I don't really like it. Nothing much to rave about. Then I tried the cream. The cream gave me the sticky oily feeling and I don't like it. :( Maybe suitable for those with dry skin. It's quite expensive so you wouldn't see me buying this product unless someone ask me to help them buy.
Will I Buy It: No

Title: Rojukiss Spot Light BB Cream
Rated: 2/5
Like: -
Dislike: Thick, doesn't suit me that well.
Main Review: Was a little dissapointed maybe had high expeactation after reading a couple of good reviews. It's not "light" and I actually felt that it's a bit heavy and oily for me. Will try the 2nd pack when I have the time.
Will I Buy It: Maybe

Title: Capital Soleil Milk Gel Protection SPF50
Rated: 3/5
Like: Easily absorbed
Dislike: Sticky
Main Review: It doesn't stink (smell) and is not overly oily.. but it's a bit sticky if you put too much though. Sample is easily absorbed, so when I don't remember where I put I end up putting double or triple times on the same few areas. Sample size is enough to cover my arms and legs. Kinda left it on overnight, I've yet to wash it off, my arms and legs feels quite smooth. Nice. :) The voucher expires December 08 so I don't think I will get to use it. Might get it for long term use if I'm going to start running again.
Will I Buy It: Maybe

DIY: Calculator Box.

All you chicky haters, please rejoice.
Chicky is in super bad mood today so she will just post some backdated rubbish DIY project instead..

Want your calculator look different from your classmates yet want it clean and clear or any stickers when you bring it into the exam hall?

You can try this. :)

You'll need a box about the size of your calculator or a bit bigger.
Best to use back your own calculator box. :)

First you'll need to measure and cut out a hole in the box so that you can use your calculator without opening the box.

I manage to get a box that fit just nice.. :)

If you don't like the design of the box you have, you can just paste anything you want over it.

My calculator can now stand cause it's in a box.

So I decide to make use of the back and make it into a "photo frame".

Now it's protecting my calculator + easy to find + acting as a photo frame. :)

Valentines must have sweet sweet de feeling..

My Sha Xiao Mei remind me on Sunday that FeiLunHai's latest album is out.
Since I was outside, Hubby bought it for me.
Anyway, I realise HMV sells it the most expensive. $24.95. -.-

They look so far away from each other on the cover...

Know which 2 are my favourites?
One of them is my part-time hubby. :p

Album's not too bad. First few time listen will have the sweet sweet de feeling, or maybe it's just me. :p If you watch most of their latest dramas you'll like the songs. Maybe they are not the strongest in vocal, but they are cute what! :p

Been busy trying to study, no time to watch their dvd.
Shall watch it later as a reward for trying to study. :p

Is MacDonalds losing money?

New poll regarding my 21st Birthday under nuffnang, do vote. Thanks! :)

The other day hubby and I decide to visit MacDonalds @ Bukit Merah to have late dinner.
I ordered a Big Mac, had to wait 15mins for it and realised the burger looks smaller/thinner than usual. I have this habit of eating the vegetables in Big Mac before attacking the whole burger which is why I flip open the burger and I saw a flat look patty staring back at me. -.-

Hubby thought it's unusually flat and he thinks it looks more like Ba Gua then a beef patty, so he decide to get it changed. After a while, I got another burger.

And it's another flat patty. -.-

Those who knows me know I have small hands and even if my fingers do't make a good comparison, take a look at the fries, the patty is thinner than the fries!! -.-

Anyway I ate the vegetables and like half of the burger and threw the rest away as it's not really nice. :(

Marina Barrage Part 1: Gallery (Photos).

Went to Marina Barrage with the school sometime last month.
Or should I say the class? But my class combines with another class for lessons de. In fact I think I'm one of those from my actual class who went. aiya i know it's confusing. Let's just say I went with the school ok?

Nearly missed the school bus. Many people didn't turn up so they waited a little while more. My group of girls all didn't turn up. I was alone.. so poor thing right? :(

Anyway I wasn't really listening, just took a lot of photos for reference.

Most of the retail shops there are absorbing the 7% GST! You have to check with the shops if they are participating in it cause some shops don't want to participate loh.

Anyway hubby help me paid for these from Watson.
They also absorbing the 7% GST, so if you have a lot of things to buy and you stay near to Changi airport, can go there and see see walk walk loh. :)

Changi Airport reuses X'mas display for CNY

Very obvious to cut cost yet look "updated" as it's remodel-ed to suit the occasion.

I like the idea as it supports the image of "Save the earth" which Changi Airport had portray themselves to be supportive of, eg. recycling bins at various part of the Airport. Now they can add reusing of displays that usually last a month or so only + reducing of waste as there are lesser things to throw as compared to making a brand new display, to their list of things done to protect the earth's natural resources.

Having real plants around as part of the display also re-emphasize the fact that Singapore is a Garden City. Did you know that Singapore Airport has as many as 6 different Gardens located in the Airport?

Mani + Pedi for CNY 2009

It's the first year that I decide to do Mani + Pedi just for Chinese New Year.
Heck, I even did eyelash extension + hair rebonding for CNY this year!

It's one of those years that I actually put in effort and money to look pretty pretty de loh..
But till now I haven be able to get back the money I spent from my Ang Pows.
Hahas. Silly me. Overspend liao.

I love my nails. The base is actually white but it looks pink here cause the wall behind me is pink in colour...

Choose classic french for toes cause I want something simple.

I don't look very pretty in this photo but I put here anyway cause it shows the white base colour of my nails.

Yes, I'm happy with my nails. :)

My first Nuffang Cheque!! Woo hoo~

This money came at the right time! I was overspending and I really need that little bit of cash to tide me once I'm done with all my "AngPow" Red packet money..
